Millie Bobby-Brown’s Engagement Ring Celebrates Classic Sparkle

It’s well and truly celebrity engagement season, and our fave Millie Bobby Brown and her boyfriend of three years, Jake Bongiovi, are officially engaged.

The “Stranger Things” star posted a stunning black and white photo on April 11 of Bongiovi, 20, hugging Brown, 19, from behind, with both of them laughing affectionately, as the actor wore a sparkling diamond ring on that finger. She captioned the photo on Instagram with lyrics from Taylor Swift‘s 2019 “Lover” track: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”

While we’re still waiting — with bated breath — for close-up pics of the ring, multiple diamond experts told Page Six Style that the stone appears to be either a round- or cushion-cut centre style.

“Round [diamonds] are timeless, super classic and will never go out of style,” Olivia Landau, GIA-certified gemologist and founder of The Clear Cut, tells Page Six. She estimates the rock is somewhere between 3 and 3.5 carats.

However, the jury is still out, with The Diamond Pro CEO Mike Fried weighing in with his expert opinion, estimating the diamond could be as large as 5 carats and worth close to $150,000, depending on the quality of the stone.

Jon Bon Jovi’s son and the actress have been dating since 2021, spotted together on vacation and making their red carpet debut at the BAFTAs in 2022.

Bon Jovi junior posted additional photos to his own Instagram, showing the couple on the beach, both dressed in white for the occasion, of course; him in a white linen shirt and her in a white lace backless dress. His caption was simply “forever.” We literally can’t contain how much we love love.

Brown’s super classic-style engagement ring seems to be a trend right now, with Kate Bosworth also sporting a cushion-cut diamond in her engagement ring from partner, Justin Long.

With unique and vintage style engagement rings trending last year, like Megan Fox’s custom two-stone ring from Machine Gun Kelly, we seem to be moving back towards classic styles in 2023.
