Which “Love Is Blind” Season 5 Couples Are Still Together? What We Know So Far
Watch out! This post contains spoilers.
The drama is heating up on “Love Is Blind” season five, as it’s already looking critical for the few (and we do mean few) remaining couples who got engaged. The hit Netflix dating experiment returned on Sept. 22 with a new batch of hopeful singles from Houston, TX, looking for their one true love. However, at this point, it’s hard to say which pairings will make it through to the finale, aka wedding day.
The cast’s time in the pods signaled trouble in paradise for some, like Uche, Aaliyah, and Lydia, who found themselves wrapped up in an unexpected love triangle. Meanwhile, others made love connections that weren’t that strong, which led to some dramatic breakups.
“Love Is Blind” creator Chris Coelen told Variety that, like past seasons, multiple other couples on the show got engaged, but weren’t followed like some of their castmates. For the love stories we have seen so far, read ahead to find out which season five couples may still be together and who’s already called it quits.

Are JP and Taylor From "Love Is Blind" Season 5 Still Together?
Relationship status: Broken up (for now)
Jared “JP” and Taylor are the first season five couple to get engaged. However, their romance doesn’t last very long. Upon meeting each other for the first time, the pair’s conversations are a bit brief (and awkward). The communication breakdown carries on when the couple joins the other engaged pairs for their group getaway trip, which ultimately leads to a breakup.
During an argument in episode six, Taylor notes that her and JP’s “emotional connection isn’t where it should be,” attributing it to their awkwardness. JP then admits that he didn’t like that Taylor wore makeup when they met face-to-face. “Without any makeup, it would’ve been better,” he says, adding that Taylor’s “caked-up face” made her seem “fake.”
The next day, the two try to reconcile, though it’s too much for Taylor to look past, as she says she’s “done.” Looks like love wasn’t blind for this couple after all. Is this really the end of Taylor and JP? We’ll have to wait for the finale to find out.
Are Uche and Aaliyah From "Love Is Blind" Season 5 Still Together?
Relationship status: Broken up (for now),
Uche and Aaliyah‘s romance seemed to be a perfect match from the start, though several missteps get in their way. First, Aaliyah admits she cheated in a past relationship and her ex-boyfriend still doesn’t know. This prompts a less-than-kind response from Uche. The argument brings Aaliyah to tears and she runs to her pod friend, Lydia, for comfort. But then things take a turn when Uche shares his own revelation: he and Lydia dated before “Love Is Blind.” This leaves Aaliyah with many questions and some resentment toward her connection and friend.
Ultimately, Aaliyah decides to leave the show at the end of episode four. Producers inform Uche of her exit just before he’s about to propose to her. In the following episode, Uche has a producer call Aaliyah to get clarity on why she left, but her answers leave him dissatisfied, so he hangs up. However, the two come face-to-face finally in episode seven to discuss what went wrong.
In short, Aaliyah shares that she began doubting their relationship once she found out about Lydia and felt Uche didn’t give her enough details. Uche admits he should’ve been more forthcoming but, ultimately, he suggests that the two call it quits. It remains to be seen if the two reunite again, but their onscreen breakup seems pretty final.
Are Lydia and Milton From "Love Is Blind" Season 5 Still Together?
Relationship status: Likely still together, Milton and Lydia’s connection is quite the roller coaster in the pods, mainly because of the latter’s surprise past relationship with Uche. But the two don’t let that, or their six-year age gap, stop them from getting engaged. Things are smooth sailing during their getaway trip, and they even make it to the next stage of the “Love Is Blind” experiment: meeting friends and family. The pair’s loved ones seem to approve of their relationship. However, things hit a snag in episode seven when Lydia and Uche get into a screaming match while rehashing their past.
It’s unclear how this affects Lydia and Milton’s relationship, so we’ll just have to wait until next week to see the outcome.
Are Izzy and Stacy From "Love Is Blind" Season 5 Still Together?
Relationship status: Maybe still together
Izzy and Stacy are another couple who get off to a rocky start since they, too, find themselves in a weird love triangle. Initially, Izzy and Johnie hit it off in the pods, though the former also strikes up a connection with Stacy (and Lydia, briefly). Both romances continue until Izzy breaks things off with Johnie – who also connected with Chris – in episode three to pursue Stacy, whom he pops the question to in the following episode. Things go smoothly on Izzy and Stacy’s romantic couples trip and back home in Houston, though they have a spat in episode seven. Then comes more drama.
When the pod squad reunites later in the episode, Johnie and Izzy sit down to clear the air, during which the latter says he heard a lot of “sketchy sh*t” about her. He accuses her of, basically, running game on him and other guys in the pods, specifically Chris, saying, “The things that you were telling me, I wasn’t the only guy you were telling.”
Prior to their argument, Stacy also states that she has an issue with Johnie, and as we see in next week’s preview, the two get into it. What this means for Izzy and Stacy’s relationship is unclear for now, but these obstacles make it hard to say they last until their wedding day.
Are Johnie and Chris From "Love Is Blind" Season 5 Still Together?
Relationship status: Maybe still together
According to Johnie, Chris is her number two connection from the pods behind Izzy. Though the two share some sentimental moments, Johnie tells Chris in episode two that she has a stronger connection with someone else and breaks up with him. The two have a fairly friendly split, despite the circumstances. So when Izzy breaks things off with Johnie, she circles back to Chris to try and repair their relationship.
Surprisingly, the two salvage their connection, though not in the pods. In episode seven, we learn the two began dating off-screen, as Johnie tells the pod squad girls they’re “official.” In a confessional, she shares that the two met at the airport and felt their connection was still there. Chris even met Johnie’s mom, who said he’s “the best person” she’s ever dated.
Johnie also says she’s grateful Chris gave her another chance, so for now, it seems these two might be still going strong.
