Here's Where You Can Catch the Outer Banks Cast Leading Up to – and After – Season 2
Netflix’s Outer Banks was one of the biggest standout shows of summer 2020 – and the buzz has yet to die down. Season two of the hit drama premieres July 30, but where else can you see all of your favourite Outer Banks actors? Unsurprisingly, since the premiere of the first season, many of the lead actors have landed movie and TV roles in other series. So what else is the Outer Banks cast up to right now? Take a look at who’s making big career moves and where you can watch their upcoming projects – then make sure you’re all caught up before season two hits Netflix!
Chase Stokes
After returning as protagonist John B in Outer Banks, Stokes is back to the small screen. He appeared as Adam in the new Amazon Prime Video thriller Tell Me Your Secrets and will also play TJ in Peacock’s upcoming adaptation of the bestselling YA mystery One of Us Is Lying.
Madelyn Cline
Following her starring role as Sarah Cameron in Outer Banks, Cline is transforming from streaming star to bonafide movie star. Cline played Emily in 2020’s coming-of-age thriller What Breaks the Ice and recently joined the cast of Knives Out 2, which will be her first major studio role.
Madison Bailey
Outside of her role as Kiara Carrera on Outer Banks, Bailey has a bright future ahead of her on the big screen. Bailey is slated to star in Time Cut, a “Back to the Future-meets-Scream” YA horror movie. It’s a true Netflix affair: Ginny & Georgia‘s Antonia Gentry is also starring.
Jonathan Daviss
Daviss, who will continue to portray Pope on Outer Banks in season two, appears in the upcoming TV series Baselines. He’s currently filming a comedy for Netflix called Strangers, costarring Riverdale‘s Camila Mendes and Stranger Things star Maya Hawke.
Rudy Pankow
Pankow has plenty of work lined up for him after reprising the role of J.J. Maybank on Outer Banks. Pankow was recently cast as protagonist Leo Grecco in The Crusades, an upcoming dramatic comedy. He’s also the star of a podcast comedy called Space Waves, which is awaiting a release date.
Charles Esten
Esten, aka Ward Banks, also appeared in Amazon Prime Video’s Tell Me Your Secrets – we wonder if he and costar Chase Stokes shared a trailer. If you need more of Esten in your life, you can dip into the dozens of shows he’s been in over the years: Nashville, Enlightened, Big Love, and even The Office!
Drew Starkey
Drew Starkey had a big 2020; after starring in the first season of Outer Banks, he appeared as Tommy Matson in The Devil All the Time, a 2020 Netflix film based on a novel of the same name. Starkey has yet to announce any future projects, but we hope to see him in more shows and movies soon.
