Wondering About the Main Characters of Future Bridgerton Seasons? Here's What to Know

Netflix’s adaptation of Bridgerton has become one of the biggest media properties in quite a while, but it won’t quite look the same going forward. As with the Julia Quinn novels it’s based on, the show will spend one season apiece on each of the Bridgerton siblings, bringing in new love interests and other new characters as we go along. Of course, that means we’ll see less of our original favorites (farewell, Simon!), but we’ll also have the chance to see each new story unfold on its own.

Who Is Bridgerton Season 1 About?
As we all know, the first season focuses on Daphne, the fourth Bridgerton sibling and the eldest daughter, and Simon, the Duke of Hastings. What starts out as a fake romance for mutual benefit evolves into real friendship and romance, but even once they’ve fallen in love, the road to a happy future together isn’t secure.

Who Will Bridgerton Season 2 Be About?
As has already been announced, the second season will shift focus to Anthony Bridgerton, the eldest of the siblings. Anthony is last seen in season one declaring his intentions to marry a suitable woman, without love getting involved, although we all know that’s not going to go as he plans! The season will introduce the Sharma sisters, Edwina (played by Charithra Chandran) and Kate (played by Simone Ashley), who get caught up in Anthony’s plans. The season will mostly be based on the second novel in Quinn’s series, The Viscount Who Loved Me.

Who Will Bridgerton Season 4 Be About?
Kind-hearted Colin is the protagonist of Quinn’s fourth book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton. This season will be a friends-to-lovers romance that’s already been hinted at in the fourth season, as Colin comes to realize that the love of his life has been right there all along.

Who Will Bridgerton Season 5 Be About?
Eloise, the independent-minded middle Bridgerton, will probably have to wait until season five to get her own full-fledged romance story. The season will be based on To Sir Phillip, With Love, in which Eloise corresponds with a charming widower and winds up finding a romance as unconventional as she is.

Who Will Bridgerton Season 6 Be About?
Poor Francesca, we barely know you! Francesca (seen in the mid-foreground here, just between Colin and Benedict) is barely a presence in season one, but eventually, she gets her own story in Quinn’s sixth Bridgerton novel. When He Was Wicked, which will be the basis of Francesca’s season, tells the story of her romance with Michael Stirling, her close friend and the cousin of her late first husband.

Who Will Bridgerton Season 8 Be About?
Gregory, like the other younger Bridgertons, is just a child in the first season, but by the time we get towards the end of the series, he’s an adult with his own love story to tell. Quinn tells his story in the last regular Bridgerton book, On the Way to the Wedding, with a few madcap love triangles and his own happily ever after.
