Everything We Know About “Bridgerton” Season 3

As Anthony Bridgerton takes the spotlight in season two of “Bridgerton,” we’re already peeking ahead to the next instalment in the epic Netflix romance series. Back in early 2021, just weeks after announcing the show’s season two renewal, Netflix picked up “Bridgerton” for a third and fourth season as well. This means that, even as we’re getting deeply invested in Anthony’s love story, we can also spend some time paying attention to his siblings, who are soon to be the leads of their very own seasons.
Season three of “Bridgerton” probably won’t be gracing our screens for quite a few months. But thanks to what we already know from Netflix (and from Julia Quinn’s “Bridgerton” book series), we have a few ideas about what we can expect to see. Keep reading for everything we know so far about the highly anticipated third season of “Bridgerton”!

What Will "Bridgerton" Season 3 Be About?
Just like the “Bridgerton” book series that inspired the TV show, the third instalment will most likely focus on Benedict, the second-eldest Bridgerton sibling. In Julia Quinn’s book series, Benedict’s book is “An Offer from a Gentleman” and follows his journey to find love. After meeting a mysterious woman at a masquerade ball, Benedict can’t get her out of his head, even though he’s supposed to be focusing on finding a “proper” marriage. He vows not to marry anyone other than her, if only he could find her.
Things get even more complicated when Sophie Beckett, the mistreated illegitimate daughter of an earl, joins the Bridgerton household and grows close to the family – Benedict included. Unbeknownst to him, however, she’s actually his mystery lady. Although Benedict finds himself falling for Sophie, he’s also torn because of his promise to his mystery lady, leading to an unexpected proposition and a bumpy ride to happily ever after.

Who Will Be in the Cast of "Bridgerton" Season 3?
For now, it seems safe to assume that the entire main cast will be returning for season three. Luke Thompson, of course, will be taking centre stage after two seasons playing Benedict as a supporting character. Casting has not yet been announced for the pivotal role of Sophie or of any other major roles, such as her stepmother and stepsisters.
Otherwise, we can probably expect to see all our faves returning. That includes Ruth Gemmell (Violet), Luke Newton (Colin), Claudia Jessie (Eloise), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), and Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), among others.
Nothing has been confirmed yet as to whether or not Jonathan Bailey (Anthony) and other major season two cast members, such as Simone Ashley (Kate) and Charithra Chandran (Edwina), will return for season three and beyond. Famously, season one leading man Regé-Jean Page (Simon) departed the series after just one season, although on-screen wife Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne) does reappear in season two.

How Many Episodes Will "Bridgerton" Season 3 Have?
Nothing has officially been announced yet as far as the episode count of season three. However, both the first and second seasons ran for eight episodes each. It seems pretty safe to say, then, that season three will also have eight episodes, each approximately an hour long.

When Will "Bridgerton" Season 3 Come Out?
For now, Netflix is guarding the release date of “Bridgerton” season three more closely than Lady Whistledown guards her identity! In reality, the streamer probably doesn’t even have a specific date in mind yet. It took more than a year for season two to arrive after the first season (December 2020 to March 2022), so if we had to guess, season three will probably come out sometime in the first half of 2023.
