They have just enough Halloween spirit without inflicting deep-seated fear and paranoia in you. Something Wicked This Way Comes
Ray Bradbury’s fantasy horror novel comes to life in Disney’s 1983 film Something Wicked This Way Comes. It’s about a carnival ringleader who casts a spell on a town, promising to grant wishes to those who join his creepy circus. If you’re up for an adrenaline rush, this is definitely one of the creepier movies on this list. It still has a PG rating, though, so nothing is too crazy.

Return to Oz
A darker sequel to The Wizard of Oz, Return to Oz follows Dorothy when she has returned home to her aunt and uncle, both of whom believe she may be hallucinating. Just as she’s about to receive electrotherapy, Dorothy finds herself back in Oz, where her friends have been turned to stone. And so, she must come up against a wicked princess and king to rescue them.

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
Who says G-rated movies can’t be a little creepy? A classic that features an old cemetery and Headless Horseman, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad joins “The Wind in the Willows” and “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” in this double feature. In the latter, a young man named Ichabod finds himself at a Halloween party trying to win the love of an heiress named Katrina Van Tassel, but he finds himself in a spookier situation as the night goes on.
