It’s official. Zac Efron is single after calling it quits with his girlfriend Vanessa Valladeres.
While rumours had been circulating, King of radio, Kyle Sandilands, confirmed on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O, that his friend — and The Greatest Showman — star had quietly parted ways with his Aussie bae.
Sandilands had called up Efron to ask whether it was true the actor had tried to pull some strings to get his former girlfriend on the new Netflix series Byron Baes, however, was shocked to learn that they had ended their romance after meeting in July 2020.
“I heard a rumour around that you know that Netflix show they’re doing in Byron … Byron Baes? There was a rumour going around (which was bullsh**) that Zac was trying to pull strings to get Vanessa on that show and that’s what I rang him about,” he said.
“He was like ‘bro yeah we’re not [together]’. It’s only recent, not like yesterday recent but they have gone their separate ways. There was no drama, it’s just done,” Sandilands added.
According to the host, Efron and Valladeres lived very different lifestyles.
“He’s back at work and they had spent a lot of time together when he wasn’t working, lunching and living in the mansion on the beach,” he said. “It’s a fabulous life, then work comes back and it kicks you right back into reality. It’s a shame.”
Valladares reportedly travelled around Australia with Efron for his Aussie film project, Gold as well as the TV show Down to Earth.
