Farmer Wants a Wife: Meet Farmer Will’s Ladies

On Sunday night, we kicked off the 2021 season of Farmer Wants a Wife with a bang, and today, we’re getting to know the women each farmer will be taking back to his farm.

Here’s how it worked: Each of our five farmers first selected eight women from the thousands of applications, who were then all brought to the stunning Convent hotel in the Hunter Valley. Then, each farmer got to meet his eight potential loves, from which he selected five women to invite back to his farm and to get to know them better. The other three, sadly, were sent packing.

39-year-old sheep and cattle farmer Will is an honest, down-to-earth Aussie bloke who loves travelling and extreme sports, but there’s one nerve-wracking activity that’s been known to stop him in his tracks: talking to women.

“I can be a bit shy around women I like,” he said. “I’m usually the guy hidden in the corner keeping to himself.”

If he can overcome his fear and put his heart on the line for love, his future wife will surely fall in love with this honest and energetic, hardworking guy. He loves a good party (but cherishes his downtime, too! Balance!), loves being outdoors, and loves the company of animals. Even better, he likes to cook!

Caitlyn, 29

A fun fact: Caitlyn has “always wanted to live on a farm” and believes that “dating a farmer would be an excellent first step to fulfilling that dream”. She’s not wrong!

Jaimee, 32

A fun fact: A paediatric nurse, Jaimee sees a lot of common ground between farmers and nurses. “They see nature at its best and worst, and it is very grounding,” she says.

Jessica, 29

A fun fact: Jessica is super into animals. In fact, she once incubated an ostrich egg in the lounge room when she was a kid.

“I had a pet cow, peacocks, chickens, ducks, 30 rabbits and even bred rats to supply to the local zoo,” she says.

Kristina, 29

A fun fact: Kristina might have a bit of an advantage over some of the other women when it comes to fitting in on the farm; as a zookeeper, she’ll be used to dealing with all the animals!

Tammy, 40

A fun fact: Tammy always enjoys reading the Farmers’ profiles, but it was Will’s that made her take the plunge and actually apply for the show.

“We are into the same things, and he rides horses,” she says. “I want to ride off into the sunset with him!”

Farmer Wants a Wife airs on Sundays at 7pm, and then Monday to Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 7 and 7 Plus.
