Luke Jacobz Claims the Mirror Ball Trophy During the Dancing With the Stars: All Stars Finale
Luke Jacobz has taken home the coveted mirror ball trophy during the grand finale of Dancing With the Stars: All Stars 2021.
After receiving a perfect score from the judges earlier in the night, Jacobz was voted fan favourite by the audience — alongside his dance partner, Jorja Freeman beating out Bec Hewitt to win the crown.
Jacobz danced for the Charlie Teo Foundation, winning the charity $20k which the actor dedicated to his late father.
This is the Home and Away star’s second win for his dancing prowess, having secured first place when he performed on the hit series in 2008.
“Thank you for asking me to come back,” he said, before thanking his dance partner and the judges for being so “encouraging”.
“Dancing is such an addictive drug and I love it so much, I don’t want to stop!”
Runner-up Hewitt narrowly missed out on the trophy this year, however, said they were still proud of what they had accomplished this season.
Both Hewitt and Jacobz beat out Lincoln Lewis (we love you, Linc!), Ada Nicodemou, Manu Feildel and Kyly Clarke to make it to the final two.
The second iteration of Dancing With the Stars: All Stars saw celebrities divided into two groups, taking to the stage on alternate nights across the season. The leaderboard was then determined by a combination of judges’ scores and scores from the studio audience, with eliminations in every episode.
Alongside the six grand finalists, we saw Tom Williams, Renee Bargh, Erin McNaught, Schapelle Corby, Matty J Johnson, Fifi Box, Jamie Durie and Jessica Gomes dance their way into our hearts during the two-week extravaganza!
But ultimately, Jacobz was victorious. Congratulations to Luke and Jorja! Dancing With the Stars: All Stars champions for 2021!
