An Important Question: Why Was Beyoncé So Late to the Grammy Awards?

If you too are tuning into the Grammys and thinking “where is Beyoncé?”, you’re not alone.
When host of the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, Trevor Noah, said “Beyoncé is here with us tonight”, Lizzo’s reaction said it all.

While it’s not unusual for stars to not appear on the red carpet but sneak into the awards show, Beyoncé was not only not seen on the red carpet, but hasn’t made it to the live show yet.
This was confirmed, when her track CUFF IT won the Grammy for best R’n’B track, and she wasn’t there to accept the award.
“The best part about hosting the Grammys in LA is that everyone can attend,” said host Trevor Noah. “But it also means terrible traffic.”
He then goes on to confirm — somewhat lacking in confidence — that Queen Bey is on her way, but is stuck in traffic.
“She will be here!” Noah ensured.
Thankfully, he was right!
“The queen is officially in the building. Ladies and gentlemen; Beyoncé Knowles,” Noah said, as he handed Beyoncé her Grammy.
“I was surprised to hear that traffic held you up,” he continued, “I thought you could travel through space and time.”
So did we babe, you’re not alone.
“But I’m glad you could be here with us now,” he finished.
Beyoncé looked undeniably radiant in her metallic gold and silver gown, paying tribute to her Grammy-nominated album, Renaissance.
Having now already won two awards tonight, Beyoncé has made history as the artist to have won the most Grammys. Ever. At a total of 32 Grammy Awards spanning her music career, there’s no denying the absolute excellence and icon-status that she portrays.
In her acceptance speech she said: “I’m trying not to be too emotional and I’m just trying to receive this night. I want to thank God for protecting me, thank you God.”
“I’d like to thank my Uncle Johnny who isn’t here but he’s here in spirit. I’d like to thank my parents, my father, my mother for loving me and pushing me.”
“I’d like to thank my beautiful husband and my beautiful three children who are watching at home. I’d like to thank the beautiful queer community for your love and inventing this genre.”
“Thank you so much to the Grammys.”
