Uzo Aduba Confirms Her Pregnancy on the 2023 Tonys Red Carpet With Baby Bump Reveal

Uzo Aduba is expecting her first child with her husband Robert Sweeting. The actor debuted her baby bump on the 2023 Tony Awards red carpet at the United Palace on June 11, and her rep confirmed the exciting news to POPSUGAR.

The “Orange Is the New Black” star confirmed that she married filmmaker Sweeting in September 2021, though they actually tied the knot back in 2020. To mark their first wedding anniversary, Aduba shared a wedding photo on Instagram and wrote of her husband, “For some of us, it can feel like we spend our whole lives waiting for our special someone. My heart, my love – I’m so happy my life started last year with you. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Aduba, an Emmy Award-winning actor, was previously nominated for a Tony in 2022 for her turn in “Clyde’s.” She’s set to appear in the upcoming Netflix series “The Residence,” a mystery-drama.
