The Traitors’ Champion Alex Duggan Is Crossing Her Fingers for a Proposal
If you can come out of a game such as The Traitors on top, then you’re somewhat invincible.
The need for strategic thinking, the ability to deceive and having to be on high alert constantly can be draining, but Alexandra Duggan proved she’s a force to be reckoned with after last night’s Grand Finale.
Alex started the game as a Faithful, but once she was recruited as a Traitor, nothing was coming in between her and the $250,000 prize.
She lied, tricked and stabbed people in the back, but that’s the grit you need if you hope to win the competition.
“It’s super hard, it’s like lying to your mum and dad. You feel so, so bad about it, and you don’t want to do it, but you just have to do it. It was the position I was in,” Alex told POPSUGAR Australia.
In what was an emotional last episode, Alex betrayed her friend and ally Craig — something he did not see coming.
The two formed a strong bond at the start of the show, but once Alex became a Traitor, she knew she had to lie to Craig’s face to avoid being outed.
Having to admit to him that she was, indeed, a Traitor was difficult and possibly one of the hardest challenges she faced during the competition.
“I didn’t want to do it. I sat there and thought, ‘how am I going to phrase this?’ which is why most of it was a physical gesture,” said the model.
“I couldn’t even get the words out of my mouth, it was very painful and very heartbreaking.”
It all paid off in the end because now that the show is done and dusted, Alex has a spare $250,000 to spend on whatever she fancies.
The reality star opened up about wanting to do IVF and starting a family with her partner Tiffany on the show, and while that’s still on the cards, she’s hoping her partner Tiffany will propose.
“The timeline would be getting a house, she proposes to me, and then we would start trying for children,” Alex said excitingly.
“We already have our little puppy dog; he’s five months old, so that would sit really well for when we have kids because, at that time, he would be one or two years old.”
As she plans the next chapter of her life, Alex isn’t ruling out future television appearances. She did, after all, show off her acting skills on The Traitors.
“I wouldn’t close that door if it opened. But I would need a few acting tips and pointers,” she said.
“I don’t know if I could cry on command, but with modelling comes acting, so I felt it was quite natural in the role that I was playing.”
