With the 2021 Emmy Awards having aired earlier this week, we’ve had plenty to celebrate. The Crown and Ted Lasso proved to be the night’s biggest winners, but there are no surprises there.
But besides the Emmy’s, the entertainment industry has had a busy week. Here’s what you may have missed.
Willie Garson Passes Away at Age 57
Starting off with the most tragic news of the week, Sex and the City star Willie Garson passed away at the age of 57.
Family members confirmed his death to Variety.
Garson, who was battling pancreatic cancer, was set to reprise his role as Stanford Blatch on the reboot of the hit franchise, which is currently in the middle of production in New York City.
Willie also starred in shows such as White Collar, Girl Meets World, Supergirl and many more.
The star leaves behind his son Nathan Garson, who took to Instagram to share a beautiful tribute for his late father.

Princess Beatrice Gives Birth
Another royal baby has arrived! Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have welcomed a daughter, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace.
While we don’t know her name just yet, the little girl was born on Saturday at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, weighed 2.78kg.
The Princess, who is 10th in line to the British throne is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York.
This is her first child with Edoardo, who has a son from a previous relationship.
The newborn is Queen Elizabeth’s 12th great-grandchild.

Fantastic Beasts 3 is All About Dumbledore
Prepare to make your way to the wizarding world once again, as it was announced the third instalment of Fantastic Beasts will be released in cinemas next year.
On Wednesday, Warner Bros. announced not only the release date, but also the official title, and let’s just say, Dumbledore fans are over the moon.
The headmaster has always been a mysterious character, so those familiar with the Harry Potter series can’t wait to delve into his personal life.
The movie is set to release on July 15, 2022.

The Crown Have Casted Dodi Al-Fayed
The Crown dominated at the Emmy Awards this year, which is why we cannot wait to see what’s in store for next season.
Netflix has slowly been releasing photos of the new cast, with fans having been treated to a glimpse of Princess Diana, Prince Charles and of course, Queen Elizabeth II.
Now, Variety has revealed Khalid Abdalla, best known for his role in The Kite Runner, has been cast as Dodi Al-Fayed, Diana’s lover who tragically died alongside her.
Khalid will star alongside Aussie actress Elizabeth Debicki in the fifth season of the show.
Mohammed Al-Fayed, Dodi’s father and former owner of Harrods will be played by Salim Daw.
Season 5 and 6 will be the final two seasons of the highly acclaimed show, and while the storyline has not been released, it is believed the drama will focus on the final months of Diana’s life.

Ashley Graham is Having Twins!
Stop the press! Because earlier this week, Ashley Graham announced in the most WHOLESOME video that she’s expecting twins!
It seems to be baby season in Hollywood, with so many celebs either announcing they’re pregnant or giving birth to little bundles of joy.
Now, the 33-year-old is joining them.
The model shared a video on Instagram of the exact moment she and husband Justin Ervin found out they were expecting, followed by an ultrasound where they were told they’re having twins.
The couple announced they’re pregnant with their second child back in July.
Their first son, Isaac Menelik, was born last year in January.
