As we get ready to watch the second week of My Kitchen Rules, there’s been some sad news to come out of the show.
The Daily Telegraph has reported that popular couple Frena Yusof, 25, and Steven Budget, 31, have called it quits on their relationship just weeks after shooting the show.
The South Australian pair, who were engaged, described themselves as “a chilled and laid back couple who love a good laugh” before entering the competition.
The team caused quite the stir with their controversial opinions in the first week of the reality show.
Frena is now believed to be dating a writer, director and producer who is also named Steven.
After Sunday night’s episode, viewers accused Steven and Frena for playing a strategic game.
The former couple, who were at the bottom of the leader board, faced backlash from people saying they were purposely giving the other teams low scores to save themselves from elimination.
Last night, NSW team Arnott and Fuzz cooked up a delicious spread which resulted in high scores across the board.
However, Frena and Steven said the food was “boring” and unbalanced and scored them a low five out of 10.
Thankfully, the score didn’t cause a massive dent in the final number, and Fuzz and Arnott still walked away with an 81.
Steven and Frena remain at the bottom of the leaderboard.
