Ex-NRL Player Luke Will Learn About Love and War on “The Bachelors”
Lumberjack Luke Bateman is hanging up his axe to search for love on “The Bachelors Australia”. The 28-year-old is looking for love alongside models and fellow Bachelors Wesley Senna Cortes and Ben Waddell. Like Wesley and Ben, Luke is hoping to find his perfect match amongst the 24 leading ladies. He may be a former NRL player, but he’ll be in for a shock when he finds out that this competition isn’t a team sport.
If the new trailer is anything to go by, there’s set to be a fair bit of rivalry between the trio of Bachelors this season. In the short clip, Luke is seen asking Ben to take a step back as they vie for the attention of 29-year-old beauty therapist Ellie.
Will Luke be the man to sweep her off her feet?
Here’s everything you need to know about “Bachelor” Luke Bateman.
Who Is “The Bachelors” Luke Bateman?
Luke Bateman is one of three heartthrobs searching for love on the newest season of “The Bachelors”. He’s not afraid to show his emotions, often wearing his heart on his sleeve. So, if any of the contestants are looking for a certified softie to snuggle up and watch rom-coms with, Luke’s the man for the job.
He loves his home state of Queensland and is very connected to his family. Each of them has chosen a life in the forestry industry, and Luke works happily alongside his stepfather.
Who Did Luke Bateman Play for?
Before settling into his life as a lumberjack, this Bachelor boasted a career as a professional NRL player for the Canberra Raiders. A 2019 knee injury, the COVID pandemic, and the end of his relationship with his then fiancée, however, soon inspired Luke to make some big life changes.
Now, Luke is on the hunt for a new forever. Luke’s dream person is down to earth, funny and has their life together. Bonus points to any lucky lady who is “ready to make sacrifices for long term happiness”.
“I’m looking for a partner who I can build and share a life with, a genuine person who makes me laugh and wants to start a family,” Luke says.
