Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian’s whirlwind romance came as a surprise to most, but the very foundation of their relationship was building years before they began dating. The Blink-182 drummer and the Poosh founder met in the mid-2000s, when Barker was dating Paris Hilton, whose assistant happened to be Kim Kardashian at the time. “Kim was Paris’s assistant,” he told Us Weekly in 2015. “She got all of Paris’s belongings together wherever we traveled.”
Barker’s relationship with Kourtney Kardashian was strictly platonic until things turned romantic during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. After making their relationship Instagram official in February 2021, the couple haven’t been shy about showering each other with love and packing on the PDA.
In May 2022, the couple officially tied the knot, and a year later, Kardashian announced that she and Barker are expecting their first child together after months of IVF treatments.

2020: Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian Start Dating
In the premiere episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians,” Kardashian revealed that her relationship with Barker turned romantic during the pandemic in 2020. “We were texting, and so I just put it out there, like flirtatious conversation,” Kardashian recalled. “Finally, once I made it known, he asked me to watch a movie, and the whole movie, he didn’t make a move.”
When a producer asked Kardashian who went in for the first kiss, Kardashian said she did. “He was taking a long time,” Kardashian said. “The movie was over, and then we started another movie, and I was like, ‘I don’t have time for this movie marathon.’ So I made the first move.” She continued, “The second we fell in love, I think we knew how different it was from anything either of us have ever had before.”
Barker and Kardashian’s romance became public in January 2021 when an insider revealed to E! News that the pair were dating. “It’s been very low-key. They are a really good match, and Kourtney’s entire family already loves Travis. They have been neighbors and great friends for years, and it just recently turned romantic,” the source explained.
According to the source, Barker had a longtime crush on the “Kardashians” star, which definitely helped spark their romance. “Travis has always had an eye for Kourtney. The chemistry and flirtation has always been there. They have a lot in common, and Kourtney has always been attracted to how Travis is as a parent. He’s an amazing, hands-on dad, and Kourtney loves that about him,” the insider shared.

May 2022: Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian Tie the Knot Again
On May 15, Barker and Kardashian got legally married at the Santa Barbara courthouse, with Kardashian’s grandmother Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell and Barker’s dad, Randy, present, as reported by InStyle. The civil ceremony was held one week before the pair’s romantic Italian ceremony in Portofino, Italy. The family affair included the pair’s children: Kardashian’s sons, Mason and Reign, and daughter, Penelope, as well as Barker’s son, Landon; daughter, Alabama; and stepdaughter Atiana. The lavish wedding was documented in a Hulu special titled “‘Til Death Do Us Part Kourtney & Travis.”
