The queen of romcoms is back, and this time, she’s teaming up with Latin music star Maluma and everyone’s favourite Owen Wilson. Jennifer Lopez is set to star in Marry Me, the story of a superstar and a math teacher (take a guess which is which) who agree to spontaneously tie the knot, despite not knowing anything about each other.
Sound completely deranged? That’s because it is, but you’re going to have to watch the trailer to see how it all plays out.
Universal Pictures released the first trailer today, and it’s a whopping three minutes long. Described as “a modern love story about celebrity, marriage and social media”, JLo’s character seems to closely resemble her reality.
Releasing in theatres on February 10, the cast is making sure you have your Valentine’s Day plans sorted.
The 52-year-old is making her return to the romantic genre, previously being known for her role in The Wedding Planner and Maid in Manhattan.
The movie features original songs from the Jenny from the Block singer and Maluma, and will star Game of Thrones alum John Bradley, Michelle Buteau and Brady Noon, as well as some celeb cameos, including Jimmy Fallon.
The film was supposed to be released earlier this year, but like everything else during the pandemic, the premiere had to be pushed to 2022. So now that you know all the deets, maybe pencil it in your diary so you don’t miss out on JLo busting a move and finding love all at once.
