Married at First Sight’s Jake Edwards is looking for someone who is driven, motivational and “someone who can be that support person”. His new wife Rebecca “Bec” Zemeck, is all of these things — and a little more than her new husband bargained for.
According to sex therapist and new expert Alessandra Rampolla, Bec has a hard time “expressing affection” which is what causes her to shut down the second she sees her groom.
“You just need to give him a chance,” Zemeck’s best friend Kristy tells her during the episode. “Don’t write him off as soon as you lay eyes on him.”
We’re hoping that things simmer down between the pair because it could actually be a good match, particularly as she was previously engaged to another AFL player.
While the business manager may seem completely independent, she is looking for a partner who has good banter, cheek and a whole lot of attitude, not to mention they have to tick boxes physically.
As for Edwards, he is an “old-school type” who grew up in the country. He struggles to find a girl who won’t “take advantage of him” and was also previously engaged, with the 32-year-old ending the romance after he realised he didn’t love her anymore.
Could Zemeck be the one he is looking for?
