J Lo and Ben Affleck Couldn’t Keep Their Eyes Off Each Other at the “Air” Premiere
Ben Affleck had Jennifer Lopez’s support at the world premiere of his new film “Air.” The couple attended the March 27 screening in Los Angeles and walked a red carpet designed to look like a basketball court. They both dressed to the nines for the event – Lopez dazzled in a half-crystal, half-neon Antonio Grimaldi gown, while Affleck chose a navy corduroy Thom Sweeney suit – and packed on the PDA while posing for the cameras. In a video recap Lopez posted on Instagram, Affleck is seen telling her, “I love you,” before leaning in to plant one of many kisses they shared throughout the evening.
“None of it would be possible – this company, this movie, this joy tonight – without the love and support of my wife.”
Affleck is both the director and star of “Air,” which centers on the partnership between sneaker brand Nike and basketball legend Michael Jordan. While addressing attendees at the premiere, he took a moment to praise Lopez’s role in bringing the Amazon Studios production to life. “This has been a joy, and I want to just enjoy this moment for one second,” he said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “And I want to say that none of it would be possible – this company, this movie, this joy tonight – without the love and support of my wife who means more to me than anything in the world. I want to say thank you. I love you. You mean the world to me. You’re fabulous, you’re amazing, you’re wonderful, good, kind, magnificent and I love you.”
The rest of the “Air” cast were in tow at the Regency Village Theatre on Monday night, including Affleck’s costar and longtime friend Matt Damon, who made a rare appearance with his daughters and wife Luciana Barroso. Other stars in attendance included Viola Davis, Chris Tucker, Jason Bateman, Marlon Wayans, Chris Messina, and Julius Tennon.
This is Bennifer’s first joint outing since the 2023 Grammys, where Affleck inspired a new meme for appearing bored and seemingly arguing with Lopez during the ceremony. He later cleared up the backstory behind their viral exchange and reassured fans that he “had a good time at the Grammys.”
