The 2023 Oscar ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 12 in the United States, which corresponds to Monday, March 13 in Australia.

The ceremony will be broadcast live (and free) on Channel 7 and 7plus.
The coverage will begin with Sonia Kruger’s live report from the star-studded red carpet during Sunrise’s 5:30 am broadcast. The live broadcast of the Oscars ceremony will start at 11:00 am AEDT.

Who Is Hosting the 2023 Oscars?
Comedian Chris Rock, who hosted the show in 2022, will not be back to host after last year’s controversy with Will Smith. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel will be taking his place instead.
Rihanna Will Perform “Lift Me Up” at the 2023 Oscars
Rihanna will perform at the Oscars, marking her second live performance in a matter of weeks following the Super Bowl.
The singer will take to the stage with her Oscar-nominated song, “Lift Me Up”, which features in the film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”. It is also Rihanna’s first Oscar nomination.
Since her last album “Anti” debuted in 2016, the singer has not released any new music until now, making this her first song in six years. Dedicated to the late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, “Lift Me Up” is co-written by Rihanna, Tems, Ludwig Göransson, and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” director Ryan Coogler.
