Survivors, are you ready? Applications are now open for the new season of Survivor Australia.
According to the official site you must not only be “physically and mentally strong enough to survive in some of the toughest conditions ever experienced” but you also must be able to “engage with others, be confident and be comfortable living in close quarters with strangers.”
This year, the team at Survivor are looking for men and women of all backgrounds and locations around Australia, who are Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents and are over the age of 18 years.
While being physically and mentally fit is a given, there’s one more stipulation you must abide by. You have to be able to swim.
If you tick all of these boxes — and have the mindset to beat someone like the Golden God (David Genat) — Endemol Shine Australia Casting is looking for you.
To apply, there’s an application form to fill in (that may take up to a couple of hours) and you must upload two photographs (one recent, clear photograph and one that “best reflects you as a person”).
Accompanying the application form and photos, you need to provide a three-minute video which should sum up why casting should pick you for Survivor and why you believe you have what it takes to win.
If strategic gameplay of Survivor is not your speed, SAS Australia is also casting right now.
More physically demanding, the true test will be what goes on in the mind. Can you handle the pressure? As a new recruit, you will be cut off from the outside world at a secret base in spectacular terrain where you will eat, sleep and train in punishing conditions.
You’ll also be subjected to extreme physical endurance, sleep deprivation, interrogation and psychological testing and above all, be pushed beyond your limits.
