Think you’ve got what it takes to apply for SAS Australia? Well, this is your chance.
After a successful first season that saw celebrity recruits including Shannon Ponton, Nick “Honeybadger” Cummins, Ali Oetjen, Candice Warner, Erin McNaught, James Magnussen and Schappelle Corby go through the Special Armed Services selection process, this time, the show is calling for everyday Aussies.
Physical fitness is little more than a necessary minimum and the true test will be what goes on in the mind. As a new recruit, you will be cut off from the outside world at a secret base in spectacular terrain where you will eat, sleep and train in punishing conditions.
You’ll also be subjected to extreme physical endurance, sleep deprivation, interrogation and psychological testing and above all, be pushed beyond your limits.
If you think you can handle the DS — Ant Middleton, Mark “Billy” Billingham, Jason Fox and Ollie Ollerton — here’s the criteria to apply:
- You must be over 18
- You must be at least 158 cm (5.1”) tall and weigh at least 50kg
- You must not be currently serving in the armed forces
- You will be required to submit a one minute video to tell the casting team why you want to do SAS and why they should choose you for SAS selection
- All applicants will also have to pass an initial fitness test if you are shortlisted.
Should your application be successful you will be required for filming during 2021.
