Meet Farmer Matt, the Bogan With a Heart of Gold
With the new season of Farmer Wants a Wife just around the corner, we’ve been squealing with excitement every time a new promo drops.
Last week, we met Will, the adrenaline-loving farmer who gets shy around women. This week, we’re getting to know Matt.
A 26-year-old cattle farmer from Orbost, Victoria, Matt’s a Def Leppard fan and a self-confessed Aussie bogan. Basically, he’s a true blue Aussie bloke, and he’s ready to settle down with the love of his life.
A fourth-generation farmer, Matt was born and bred on the family farm, and is ready to carry on the family legacy.
“This farm, it’s my world. It’s my baby,” Matt said. “I’m a fourth-generation farmer; we need that fifth generation. We need some little rugrats running around here!”
In the latest promo to drop, Matt said that his “end game out of this is to hopefully find the one, the person to share [his] life with”.
“I picture having a wife down on the farm with kids jumping across the hay bales,” he shared.
With so many incredible women hoping to be the woman of this cutie’s dreams, Matt’s going to be relying on his “heart and stomach” to find his soulmate.
He’ll be looking for a woman who loves to laugh, someone who shares his dream of starting a family on the farm and who he can build a fantastic future with. She’ll also have to be willing to help out with running the farm, because farm life has always been a family affair for Matt.
With all the qualities of a classic country boy, Matt’s proud to call himself an honest, loyal, hardworking, and respectful guy. With those qualities, we’re sure he won’t have much trouble finding love with one of the eight amazing girls vying for his heart!
While only two couples from the 2020 Australian series led to a happily ever after ending, Farmer Wants A Wife remains the most successful and enduring reality dating series. The Australian series alone has resulted in nine marriages, one long-term relationship, and a whopping 23 babies!
We’re crossing our fingers for Farmer Matt!
Farmer Wants A Wife will return to Channel 7 soon.
