Here’s Who We Would Love to See on Celebrity MasterChef 2021
There’s Celebrity Apprentice, Dancing With the Stars, Big Brother VIP, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, SAS Australia (celebrity edition) and now, there’s Celebrity MasterChef Australia.
While you’re probably wondering how could there possibly be any celebs left in the country, Network Ten has announced that MasterChef Australia is getting the red carpet treatment.
According to Ten, the network has “searched high and low for some of the country’s top celebrities with a passion for food, and are ready for their big break in the MasterChef kitchen. While these celebs may be the best in their business, will they make it in the kitchen?”
Unfortunately, while MasterChef Junior will not be returning in 2021, esteemed judges Melissa Leong, Andy Allen and Jock Zonfrillo, will be back to put this new crop of stars through their paces.
“Melissa, Jock and I can’t wait to swing open the doors to the MasterChef kitchen and welcome these famous faces. It’ll be a multi-talented group who step into the kitchen, but will they be at the top of their cooking game?” Allen said in a statement.
But who is set to enter the pressure cooker that is the show? At this stage, all we know is a legendary sports person, an Aussie icon and a famous actor are ready to don a MasterChef apron and face the heat of the famed MasterChef kitchen.
Here’s our wishlist based on the clues above.
Legendary Sports Person
Ashleigh Barty — We want to see if she can serve up a dish as well as she can serve on the tennis court.
Aussie Icon
Danni Minogue — Dannii is already a hot commodity on Network Ten and as a super sleuth judge on The Masked Singer and as a bonafide Aussie icon, it would be good to see her switch roles and cook.
Famous Actor
Stephen Peacocke — There’s no explanation necessary, but if it’s not going to be a Hemsworth, then Four Bedrooms star, Peacocke, is the next best thing.
