Friendly Exes Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk Reunited Again at the 2023 Met Gala

Lots of reunions took place at the 2023 Met Gala – even among exes! On May 1, former couple Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk, who dated for four years and share one child, had a friendly run-in at the annual fashion event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, as the two were photographed chatting inside near a banquet table. Cooper dressed in a simple black tuxedo, while Shayk wore a cream-colored Yohji Yamamoto gown.

The cordial encounter between the two, who walked the Met Gala red carpet separately, may not come as a surprise as they coparent their 6-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine, and occasionally hang out together.

Cooper and Shayk started dating back in the spring of 2015, two years before they welcomed their child together, but later split in 2019. At that time, People reported that a source said the Oscar-nominated actor and supermodel decided to amicably work out how to share custody of their daughter.

Since then, Cooper has been linked to “Glee” alum Dianna Agron and political staffer Huma Abedin, whom he, coincidentally, was introduced to by Anna Wintour ahead of the 2022 Met Gala. The pair arrived to the event separately that year but were a confirmed couple by July. However, their brief romance reportedly fizzled out by November, per People.

Shayk, on the other hand, was last linked to Vito Schnabel and Kanye West, the latter of whom she briefly dated after West’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, filed for divorce in February 2021.

Cooper and Shayk have stayed on friendly terms since their breakup. Prior to this year’s Met Gala, the two were photographed hanging out at an NYC party for fashion brand Self-Portrait in October 2022. They were also seen taking a casual walk in the city the following month and took a rare tropical vacation together that summer. After Cooper’s split from Abedin, a source close to Shayk told People that the exes “have both been single and started hanging out more together.”
