Channel 10 Has Dropped a First Look at Australian Survivor: Heroes vs Villains
Australian Survivor is back baby! And this time, “Heroes” are versing “Villains”.
Channel 10 has dropped a brand new teaser trailer, giving fans a (brief) preview of the upcoming season.
Starring host Jonathan LaPaglia, the sneak peek reveals that the competition was filmed where it all began: Samoa, “where the beautiful beaches will see Heroes and Villains battle it out in gruelling challenges to come out on top.”
“In the game of Survivor, who does it better — the hero or a villain?” asks Jonathan.
Earlier this year, Australian Survivor aired its highly successful Blood vs Water season, where players competed alongside their family members.
We had identical twins, couples, siblings and a famous mother-daughter duo.
Survivor royalty Sandra Diaz-Twine competed on the show for the sixth time, but this year, her daughter Nina Twine was also in the race.
Sandra, who has been crowned the champion of Survivor twice, wasn’t able to take home the title for the third time, and Nina was forced to withdraw after she fractured her ankle in a challenge.
People have speculated whether Nina will be competing on Australian Survivor: Heroes vs Villains after Jonathan made a cryptic comment right before her departure.
“Nina, it has been an absolute pleasure having you out here to play Survivor with us, but I have a feeling this is not gonna be the last time we’re gonna see you on Australian Survivor, so let’s get you out of here, and let’s get you healed,” he said.
While we haven’t been given a premiere date just yet, Channel 10 have announced the show will return sometime in January next year.
