The Pimple Sticker Brand You Need to Know About For Clear and Bright Skin
If you’re yet to try pimple stickers , let me say, they are life-changing. I don’t say that lightly, either. As someone who is a chronic picker (if I have a zit, I really struggle to leave it alone), pimple patches have proven to be the antidote to this. I simply pop a sticker over the zit and I know that I can’t touch it, otherwise, I’ll disrupt all of the magic happening underneath.
The magic in question is the hydrocolloid that is infused within the sticker to stop pimples in their tracks. A recent favourite I’ve discovered in the world of acne patches is ZitSticka, which launched in Australia earlier this year.
Loved by the likes of Yara Shahidi, Kelly Rowland and Keke Palmer, ZitSticka has a number of patch products to cater for a variety of skin concerns including zits, post-pimple hyperpigmentation and whiteheads.
ZitSticka’s Killa ($39), designed for those hard-to-reach pimples zits that feel deep under the skin as well as those early-stage zits, is formulated with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, salicylic acid and oligopeptide-76 and helps to reduce pimple size and inflammation within a few hours.
This is the product I reach for when pimples pop up and it works especially well on those hormonal zits that I tend to experience once a month. While you can notice a difference within two hours of wear, I usually opt for wearing these overnight.
For those who experience more common, surface zits, ZitSticka’s Goo Getter ($29) is the one to reach for. Packed with niacinamide, salicylic acid, vitamin C and tea tree, Goo Getter helps accelerate the healing process and absorbs and drains fluid (or goo!) from the pesky pimple.
Once you’ve gotten rid of the zit, it can sometimes leave an annoying dark spot in its place. Thankfully, ZitSticka has the answer to this issue with Hyperfade ($49). Each patch includes 24 self-dissolving microdarts that melt within two hours of application, releasing brightening ingredients into your skin to lighten any leftover darkness.
As well as offering all of these wonderful and effective products, ZitSticka is working to destigmatise breakouts by encouraging people to have frank conversations about their skin. Pimples are a fact of life so why is having acne not considered to be normal? We can both normalise acne and want effective ways to get rid of it, which is how ZitSticka is tackling the issue.
