Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly can now cross off “get matching hairstyles” from their relationship bucket list. On June 27, the lovebirds attended the premiere of Colson Baker’s new Hulu documentary “Life of Pink” and took the title quite literally, debuting pastel pink hair, courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos.
While MGK and Fox both went pink for the occasion, their looks varied in saturation. Fox went with a light wash of colour while Baker dyed his hair a bright fuchsia hue. The shades perfectly complemented their equally on-theme outfits. Pink hair saw a huge surge in popularity in 2020 with celebrities like Dua Lipa, Ava Phillipe, and Cardi B, wearing different iterations of the trend. This isn’t the first time either celebrity has gone pink, either: Kelly first debuted the punk-rock colour back in February, and Fox tried out the shade for the film “Good Mourning” in April (but that was just a wig).
If you’re feeling inspired to try a bold hair colour but don’t want to fully commit, techniques like hair “poptarting” allow you to dabble without diving all the way in. While we don’t know how long Kelly and Fox will keep their pink hair, it is evident that the duo loves a coordinated beauty moment – á la their chain nails for the former’s UN/DN LAQR launch.
