It’s That Time Again: Mecca’s Beauty Election Is Here
The MECCA Beauty Election is back, baby! It’s time to vote in MECCA’s annual consumer-led campaign that allows you to determine what’s hot in the world of beauty. Not only is MECCA’s Beauty Election a fun time to reflect on the products you love most, but it also allows you to discover the other can’t-live-without goodies that your fellow beauty enthusiasts swear by.
With 10 categories and over 60 nominees, the Beauty Election will help identify what beauty lovers are obsessing over right now and determine what products reach icon status. Election voting officially opened this morning, July 13, and MECCA is anticipating over 100,000 beauty babes across Australia and New Zealand will take part in the campaign.
The returning categories in the Beauty Election include ‘The Illusionists: The Best of Complexion’ and ‘The Amplifiers: The Best Mascara’, while a few new categories have been added, including The Multihyphenates: The Best Multi-Use Product’ and ‘The Explorers: The Best In-Store Service’. The latter will allow you to pay tribute to your favourite in-store services for the very first time.
Last year’s Beauty Election had over 1.3 million unique votes from over 90,000 beauty enthusiasts and notable winners included Go-To Skincare’s Face Hero in the Best for Winter Skin category, while Mecca Cosmetica’s To Save Face SPF50+ Superscreen took out the Instagram People’s Choice accolade.
While voting in this year’s Beauty Election and narrowing down your holy grail products is half the fun, you will also go into the running to win a grand prize including a selection of the nominees and winners to the value of $2,000. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us!
Voting closes for MECCA’s Beauty Election on July 25 at 11:59pm AEST, with winners announced on July 27 at 12pm AEST. Australian beauty lovers can vote here and New Zealand babes can head here to cast their votes. We’ll be covering the winners later this month, so keep your eyes peeled.
