Jennifer Lopez’s “Supermodel” Nails Are Meant For Minimalists

If you didn’t already realize, Jennifer Lopez‘s nail game is unmatched. On May 10, the actor attended the premiere of “The Mother” in Los Angeles, California, accompanied by her husband, Ben Affleck. For the occasion, Lopez took her love of neutrals to new heights, wearing a beige three-piece suit and matching clutch, alongside “supermodel” nails.

Lopez paid a visit to her go-to manicurist Tom Bachik to get the look. Her nails were filed into a coffin shape and painted a translucent beige shade to complement the rest of her look. No art or decals were added, and a glossy topcoat finished everything off.

“Supermodel” manicures have become a staple for quite a few of Lopez’s peers in Hollywood. The look has been spotted on everyone from Hailey Bieber to Florence Pugh. It started to trend after Bachik recreated the ’90s-inspired manicure on actor Margot Robbie for the 2021 Oscars. Typically consisting of a sheer color that’s worn on its own (as seen on Lopez), “supermodel” nails also pair beautifully with nail-art designs, like Korean blush nails and invisible french manicures. So, whether you’re a lover of neutral colors or prefer them as a base for more extravagant looks, you can’t go wrong with finding your signature “supermodel” shade.
