The annual Met Gala is always home to some of the boldest fashion and beauty looks, but the 2022 red carpet may be on track to out-stun them all. One of our favourite looks so far has to go to Janelle Monáe, who arrived as the perfect picture of “Gilded Glamour” from the future.
They told Vogue that their goal was all in the details, including everything from the bejewelled Ralph Lauren dress to their matching headpiece, and we couldn’t help but notice the finishing touch: their jewel-encrusted manicure. The design on their nails matched the rest of their outfit perfectly, and their poses on the red carpet seemed specifically engineered to show off the entire look — fingernails included.
