This Is Not a Drill: The Production Company Behind Euphoria Is Entering the Beauty Space
Euphoria, starring Zendaya and Hunter Schafer, pushed the boundaries when it came to many things — makeup being one of them. Bold bright eyes, crystals and copious amounts of glitter adorned the faces of Jules (played by Schafer), Rue (played by Zendaya), Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Maddy (Alexa Demie) over the first season of the series.
Now, in possibly the best makeup-related news we’ve ever heard, the production company behind Euphoria (and horror film Midsommar, which stars Florence Pugh) is set to enter the beauty industry. According to i-D, the company, called A24, is launching Rules Beauty, which is being described as “a new A24 portfolio company focusing on the beauty space”.
Fans of the series have pointed to the fact that the name Rules Beauty could be a nod to Euphoria’s lead characters Rue and Jules, which frankly, we’re obsessed with! If this is the case, chances are the beauty line could take inspiration from the glitter-heavy makeup seen on the show.
There isn’t a lot known about Rules Beauty just yet — we’re just very excited — so it remains to be seen what the beauty offering will look like. What is known that the company is hiring for roles within this new beauty space, with a Director of Operations and Supply Chain role basied in LA currently up for grabs.
“What that slightly long-winded job title means is that the production company are looking for someone to lead and manage all operational activities for Rules Beauty, as well as building strategy and overseeing day-to-day execution. Essentially, to be one of the big bosses,” Roisin Lanigan wrote for i-D.
Only time will tell what plans A24 has but if it is related to Euphoria-based beauty, we’ll have our wallets ready to snap up the goodness. Bring on the glitter!
