Cardi B’s Finger-Wave Mullet Is All You Need to See From Paris Fashion Week

Cardi B and fashion week go together like peanut butter and jelly, and you’re about to see why. On July 5, the rapper attended the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week accompanied by her husband, Offset. As per usual, the duo pulled out all the stops, with Cardi B decked out in an all-black outfit from head to toe. Still, her mullet hairstyle stole the show and was a masterclass in taking older beauty trends and making them new again.

Cardi B’s hair was a quintessential mullet – shorter in the front and longer in the back – but instead of styling the top of her hair into a shag or pixie, the front pieces were molded into slick finger waves. To give the style some extra flair, the rapper also opted for exaggerated baby hairs, and the back of her mullet ended just at her shoulder blades, which gave the look even more edge.

Mullet haircuts have been surging in popularity over the last few years with celebrities like Miley Cyrus and Debby Ryan being spotted in different variations of the look. The addition of finger waves takes the trend up a notch, as evidenced by Lizzo at the BET awards back in 2022.
