This Jennifer Coolidge Drag Impersonator Is the Real Star of Milan Fashion Week
The crowd erupted at Milan Fashion Week when Jennifer Coolidge waltzed into Diesel’s fall 2023 runway show on Feb. 22 . . . except, it wasn’t actually Coolidge. It was British drag artist Alexis Stone impersonating the “The White Lotus” star, thanks to an elaborate prosthetic transformation.
Stone enlisted special-effects makeup artist Neill Gorton to sculpt a replica of Coolidge’s face – a process that took a total of five weeks. After adhering the prosthetic pieces to her face in several parts, Stone used Coolidge’s makeup look from the Golden Globes as inspiration while applying lipstick, eyeshadow, eyebrows, and lashes. The finishing touches? A wavy blond wig, hazel contacts, fake teeth, and voilà! The makeover was complete.
At the Diesel presentation, Stone wore an outfit from the label’s new collection, including baggy metallic cargo pants, a matching biker jacket, a top emblazoned with a cutout logo, and a denim handbag. She walked the step and repeat, nailing Coolidge’s signature pout and shimmying for the cameras, before sitting in the front row next to Haley Lu Richardson, who portrays Coolidge’s assistant in “The White Lotus” season two. It seems everyone was fooled by Stone’s uncanny homage, as the drag queen wrote on Instagram, “A major success [given] most news outlets thought I was in fact Jennifer, such a moment.”
For the unacquainted, Stone is known for channeling celebrities and fictional characters for Fashion Week appearances. In the past, she’s transformed into Dolly Parton, Mrs. Doubtfire, and socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein for various Balenciaga shows and has used prosthetic makeup to mimic Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Lisa Rinna, and more just for fun on Instagram.
